The Craigieburn Eagles want to congratulate Division 2 Men’s team member, Jake De La Motte, for earning a gold medal for Australia at the 2023 Virtus Global Games in Vichy, France.

While leading his team to a first-place finish, De La Motte was also selected to the All-Star team for his efforts throughout the tournament.

‍

From start to finish, De La Motte and the Australian Boomerangs put the pressure on their opponents and showed their dominance. Competing against strong competitors such as the United States, Poland, France, and Portugal, the Boomerangs ran away with the competition and were undefeated in Vichy. 

‍

Following his return to Melbourne, Jake hit the ground running for the Craigieburn Eagles against Whittlesea, the top side in Division 2. De La Motte scored 6 points and pulled down 5 rebounds against the Pacers.

Jake and the Eagles have one game remaining in the 2023 season, this Sunday in Mornington at 2:00 PM.
